What is UGC NET Paper 1?

The UGC NET Exam 2023 is a National Eligibility Test to determine the benchmark qualification of Assistant Professors and Researchers in Indian Universities and Institutions. And this qualification poses as an opportunity for aspirants to lead research under the top Institutes supported by the Central Government of India. The exam is being conducted in two parts with two papers viz., paper-I is a general paper that is mainly intended to test the candidate’s teaching or research aptitude of the candidate and paper-II deals with the core subject. The UGC NET Paper 1 Exam Pattern unfolds a total of 50 questions designated at ‘2 mark’ for each correct response. And the questions will be mainly from portions like Teaching Aptitude, Reasoning ability, English Comprehension, Divergent thinking and General Awareness.

UGC NET Paper 1 Exam Pattern 2023

The UGC NET 2023 exam pattern follows a two-paper format with paper-I for General subjects and paper-II for the core subject. However, the candidates should attempt both the papers within the stipulated 3 hours and there will be no break in between the sessions.
