SSC CHSL 2024 Notification

The detailed notification for SSC CHSL 2024 recruitment process is expected to be released on SSC’s official website on 11^th June, 2024. All aspirants are advised to regularly visit the official site for the latest updates about the exam. Notification for 2023 was released on 9^th May, 2023 and process of selection lasted till January, 2024. Candidates applying for SSC CHSL exam 2024 should complete their One Time Registration procedure in the official site of Staff Selection Commission.

SSC CHSL Exam Date 2024

According to the annual calendar of 2024 Staff Selection Commission the window for applying the exam will be open in the months of June and July of 2024. The exam date will be announced after the detailed scrutiny of each application. As the commission has not officially confirmed the date / dates of exam, we are expecting it to fall in the months of September and October of 2024. The date for the examination and skill test for CHSL Tier II will be announced after the commencement of the eligibility list sorted on the base of Tier I performance of the candidates. SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The official eligibility criteria of SSC CHSL exam states that the candidates applying for the exam must be a citizen of India or hold any citizenship as mentioned in the official notification. Also candidates must possess the desired educational Qualifications and fall in the age limits as mentioned in the official SSC CHSL notification 2024.

SSC CHSL Educational Qualification

The desired educational qualification for the candidates of SSC CHSL exam 2024 is a pass in 12^th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. . A document verification will be conducted after the publication of the SSC CHSL final result 2024. The selected candidates must produce the relevant original certificates such as mark sheets, provisional certificates, etc. proving the completion of Intermediate, Higher Secondary, 10+2 or Senior Secondary.

SSC CHSL Age Limit

According to the official notification, candidates applying for the exam must fall in the age limit between 18 to 27. The SSC CHSL 2024 age relaxation permitted for candidates from various categories are as mentioned in the below table

Candidates claiming the age relaxation in SSC CHSL Exam 2024 must be able to provide the relevant proof documents during the document verification stage.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2024

The Computer Based Examination for SSC CHSL will be conducted in two tiers: Tier-I and Tier-II. Marks scored, in case of examination conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized. And this normalized score will be used to determine the SSC CHSL cut-off marks and the final merit. The tentative Answer Keys will be posted on the Commission's website after the examination. Candidates can submit online representations within the time limit, paying Rs 100/- per question. The Commission will scrutinize any representations received online, and the decision will be final. The schedule of examinations is tentative, and any changes will be communicated only through the Commission's website. Metric systems of weights and measures will be used in question papers. No provision is made for re-evaluation or re-checking of scores at any stage or tier. In case of questions with English and opted language differences, the English version will prevail.

CHSL Tier 1 Mark Distribution

SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam of 2024 will be conducted on a date mentioned in the notification released by Staff Selection Commission in the first week of April. Aspirants may check the exam pattern and the topics included in the exam in the below table.

The exam will be conducted for a total of 100 questions. Each right answer will be awarded with +2 marks and wrong ones with -0.5 marks. Therefore all candidates are advised to only mark the answers they are sure about and avoid the negative marks.

There will be Second Session on the same day of tier 2 objective test. This session is mainly including skill test / typing test in three parts. Part A is the skill test

The Skill Test for the DEO/DEO Grade 'A' position in Department/Ministry will be based on the correct entry of words/key depressions per passage. The test will last 15 minutes and will include printed matter with 3700-4000 key-depressions. Candidates for the DEO/DEO Grade 'A' position will have a data entry speed of 8,000 key-depressions per hour. The test will be conducted in English and may be displayed on the computer screen. Candidates eligible for scribe will receive a compensatory time of 5 minutes, resulting in a Skill Test duration of 20 minutes. The Typing Test will be conducted in Hindi or English, with candidates choosing either medium in the online application form. The choice of medium will be final and no changes will be entertained later. Candidates with a typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) for English and 30 words per minute (w.p.m.) for Hindi will be assessed based on typing accuracy in 10 minutes.
