All About SSC CGL Exam 2023

The Staff Selection Commission will be conducting the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2023 for filling up various group ‘B’ and group ‘C’ posts under different government organizations and statutory bodies. The posts notified under SSC CGL belong to pay matrix level like 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The current vacancies are approximately 7500 and any surge in this notified vacancies will be intimated through the official website of the commission. This is the best opportunity for any graduate to level up their career as a group-B or C central government officer.

SSC CGL 2023- ‘24 Exam & the Number of Posts

There are a total of 36 posts notified under the SSC CGL 2023 Tier 1 exams. The main posts are as listed below under various pay level matrix they belong.

The pay matrix from 6 to 8 belong to group ‘B’ posts and the pay matrix from 4 to 5 belong to the group ’C’ posts.

SSC CGL 2023 Application Form

The SSC CGL 2023 Application portal has been active since 3^rd April 2023 and will be available till 3^rd May 2023, however the online fee payment facility will be active till 4^th May 2023. The candidates can submit the application via the profile created through the Staff Selection Commission official website. The SSC CGL Application fee payable is Rs 100 for Male general candidates, however there is fee exemption for Women and candidates belonging to Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), PwBD and Ex-servicemen (ESM). And after submission of the application form, the candidates will also get an opportunity for correction through 7^th May 2023 till 8^th May 2023. SSC CGL Exam 2023 Eligibility

The basic qualification to sit for the SSC CGL Exam 2023 is a graduate degree in any discipline. However, there are some additional qualifications required for certain specialized posts. The detailed SSC CGL Exam qualification pertaining to each post is given below.

SSC CGL Exam 2023 Age Limit

The minimum and maximum age limit for SSC CGL exam, varies depending upon the post. However, combining all the posts the minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age slab is 30 years. And there is an age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and ESM categories as illustrated below.

SSC CGL Exam 2023 Last Date to Apply

The last date to apply for SSC CGL exam 2023 is 3^rd May 2023. The candidates should apply before hand without waiting for the last date as the website can be even affected during the wee hours.

SSC CGL Exam 2023 Exam Date

The Tentative schedule for SSC CGL Exam 2023 will be proposed for July 2023. The Tier-I exams will be conducted during this period and the date of the Tier-II exam will be notified later soon after the release of the Tier-I SSC CGL exam result.

SSC CGL Selection Process

The SSC CGL selection Process happens through a series of exams i.e., Tier-I and Tier-II. The detailed format of the exams will be available in the SSC CGL notification and the tendative schedule of the exams are released through the SSC CGL Calendar 2023. The Tier-I exams are for a total duration of 1 hour, consisting of General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. And the Tier-II exams are conducted for a total duration of 2 hour 30 minutes with two main sessions, one for the major subjects and the other is allocated for skill test.
