Eligibility for Indian Coast Guard Navik GD post is that the candidate must be a Male Indian Citizens belonging to the respective age group and with right educational qualifications as mentioned in the official advertisement
Coast Guard Navik GD 2024 Educational Qualification
The basic Educational Qualification required for the post of ICG Navik GD is 10+2 passed with Mathematics and Physics from an educational board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE). All candidates should fill marks scored for each subject separately in the respective fields.
Coast Guard Navik GD 2024 Age Criteria
Candidates’ age for Coast Guard Navik GD should range between a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 22 years. Note that only candidates have their date of birth within 1st September, 2002 to 31st August, 2006 (both dates inclusive).

For the post of Indian Coast Guard Navik GD salary offered is ₹ 21,700/-. A total of 260 vacancies across all regions and categories are reported. Region-wise Indian Coast Guard has been divided into six. And each of these regions include various Union territories and states
- Northern Region: Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, NCT of Delhi, Harana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh.
- Western Region: Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Dadar& Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep.

Coast Guard Navik GD 2024 Registration
- The candidate has to upload their latest photo during registration and their live image will be captured. Facial features in both the photos will be checked.
- Candidate's photograph in the application form will be matched with facial features/physical appearance at all stages of recruitment.
- Left thumb biometric will be captured at Stage-I recruitment, and if the biometric does not match, the right thumb will be used for subsequent verification.
- In case of any doubts with candidate’s identity at Stage-II, recruitment team is authorised to cancel registration. Also, if the biometric machines are not able to capture fingerprint images, may result in the cancellation of the candidate.
- Candidates must present valid original identity proof, colour printout of admit card, passport size color photo, and relevant proofs for SC/ST candidates.
- Any discrepancies in these documents will lead to the cancellation of the candidate's candidature.
- And finally, candidates except from SC/ST communities should pay exam fees of ₹ 300/- for Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD) recruitment
Coast Guard Navik GD 2024 Exam Stages
Coast Guard Navik (GD) recruitment spans over four stages.
- Stage 1: A Computer Based Examination
- Stage 2: OMR Based Written Exam + Physical Fitness Test
- Stage 3: 1–2 day training & Pre-enrolment Medicals
- Stage 4: Original Document Verification
Stage 1
There will be two sections in stage 1 computer-based examination. Candidates should score minimum marks in both the sections separately. Candidates will be facing 60 questions for a total of 60 minutes in 45 minutes. The questions will be asked from 10th class syllabus. Candidates from UR/EWS/OBC category should score a minimum of 30 marks and candidates from SC/ST category need 27 marks for qualification.
Section 2 will be conducted for a maximum of 50 marks for 50 questions in 30 minutes. Here, candidates from UR/EWS/OBC need to score a minimum of 20 marks and SC/ST category candidates need 17 marks. The Syllabus followed is same as that of class 12.

Stage 2
There will be an OMR based written examination, the result of which will be announced within one hour of conduct of examination. The candidates who pass the examination will proceed to next phase which is a Physical Fitness Test.
There are three tests in this phase
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
- 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak).
- 10 Push-up.
Stage 3
Candidates securing Stage-I & Stage-II merit will be provisionally shortlisted for training at INS Chilka, with a 1-2 day Stage-III duration, and verification procedures at the training base. Also, there will be a document verification and pre-enrolment Medicals at INS Chilka. And submission of original police verification and other associated forms take place in this stage.
Stage 4
This is the final stage of recruitment where all the original certificates will be verified. And the candidates will be terminated from the service if the documents are reported not genuine by the respective Boards / Universities
