When is the next KTET Exam? - KTET Result 2023 | Common Questions!

Kerala Pareekshabhavan has announced the KTET Results 2023 today. Have you checked your results? If not, visit the official website of the conducting agency and check it today itself. Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted by Pareeksha Bhavan in order to select smart candidates who are aspiring to teach in Lower primary, upper primary, High School section etc. This has now become a mandatory qualification to apply for a teaching job in Kerala. For some people, especially in the case of beginners in this field, they always have a lot of doubts regarding Kerala TET exam. In this article, we have given the answers for some of the recurring questions regarding this exam.

  1. Can KTET holders write LP-UP Exam?

Yes. The candidates with TTC/ D.Ed./D. El. Ed +KTET Category 1 or Candidates with a B.Ed. + KTET Category 2 or Category 3 are also eligible to apply for this post.

  1. Can B.Ed. candidates write KTET Category 3?

Yes. KTET Category 3 is for those who are wishing to teach in High School Sections in Kerala.

  1. Can those without B.Ed. write Category 3?

No. Candidate who doesn’t acquire B.Ed. will not be allowed to write the KTET category3 exam. Not only this category, but also, they will not be considered in any other categories coming under Kerala TET.

  1. When is the next KTET Exam?

We can expect the upcoming KTET exam in the month of April. During the Covid pandemic, this exam was done only twice in a year. But now, it is not the case. From this year onwards, we can expect three Kerala TET exams.

  1. Can those who passed PPTTC/PTTC apply for KTET-1?

Here, PPTTC stands for Pre-primary Teachers Training Course and PTTC stands for Primary Teachers Training Course. Those who have completed the above courses don’t actually need to apply for any of the KTET categories.

  1. Can those who have studied Fashion Designing apply for KTET?

No. To apply for any of the KTET Categories, a candidate should necessarily have a B.Ed. degree. Kerala Teacher’s Eligibility Test is conducted by Pareeksha Bhavan and it has four major categories in total.

  1. Can B.Ed. (Commerce) students write KTET 2?

Yes. B.Ed. Commerce students are eligible to apply for KTET category 2 exam, but they can’t apply for the third category i.e., Kerala TET category 3 exam.

  1. Can those who studied B.Ed. (Special Education) write KTET 2?

No. The candidates coming under this particular category are not eligible to apply for KTET category 2 exam.

  1. Are TTC candidates eligible to apply for Kerala Teacher’s Eligibility Test?

Yes. Those who have completed Teacher’s Training Course are eligible to apply for KTET. They can only attend the category 1 exam which is held for the Lower Primary teachers in Kerala.

  1. Can those who have not done B.Ed. in Kerala write KTET exam?

Of course, they can. This is a common doubt that is repeatedly asked by the exam aspirants. Kerala TET exam can be attended by anyone who have a B.Ed. qualification. The basic motive of these exams is to select the smartest teaching candidates among the lakhs of applicants in the state.
