UGC NET Exam December Session 2023: Apply Now

UGC NET Exam is open to apply for all eligible candidates from 30^th September 2023 through 28^th October 2023. Candidates who are aspiring to write this exam should note that the UGC NET exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency under the supervision of the University Grants Commission (UGC) specifically for subjects in Art, Management, and Law.

So, NTA has been entrusted by the UGC, to hold this examination which is the qualifying exam to determine the eligibility of Indian Nationals who wish to serve as ‘Assistant professors’ and ‘Research Scholars’ in Indian Universities and Research Institutes. The exam is conducted as a Computer Based Test and is organized for 83 subjects.

Candidates can apply through Online mode only via the official website i.e., https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/. Any other form or postal applications will not be accepted and will be rejected summarily. Further, only one application is to be submitted by the candidate and more than one application can attract stringent action or will be rejected.

UGC NET Exam Pattern

The UGC NET exam comprises two papers, paper-I General paper and paper-II Subject paper. Wherein the aggregate performance of both papers is noted to evaluate the total score. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship may not be considered for the award of JRF as the cut-off scores for JRF are set usually higher than that of Assistant Professorship.
