SSLC KERALA SYLLABUS FOCUS AREA

Focus area is nowadays a topic of discussion in media. As the trend of educational system changed, from attaining first class/ distinction to full A+, the stress level of parents and children boosted a bit. What do you mean by Focus Area? The director of General Education decided to set up ‘Focus Area’ for the SSLC and higher secondary exam preparation. Kerala Government issued certain guidelines/ instructions for teaching and question paper preparation for SSLC and plus two exam 2022, after examining the matter in detail.

The guidelines are:

• Focus area to be fixed at 60% of the total portion to be studied.
• 70% of questions to come from this 60% portion.
• Sufficient choices to be given to the extent of 50% extra marks.

According to a study on this matter, children would find it difficult to score marks by emphasizing just on the focus area. Because only 70% will be asked from this 60% portion. If we make a comparison between the previous question pattern and the upcoming question pattern, the focus area portions are auxiliary portions. The student should give his/her 150% to attain full marks or A+.
