1. Kerala PSC AMVI Notification 2023

The Kerala Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector notification for categories viz., 517/2022, 610/2022 and 613/2022 was released on 18^th January 2023. The Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector post is a prestigious post that offers you a very good starting scale as a government employee. i. Kerala PSC AMVI 2023 Qualification (Eligibility Criteria)

Educational Qualification

a) Pass in SSLC or its equivalent

b) A diploma in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering ( 3 year course) awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or any institution recognized by the central Government or State Government.

OR

Any qualification in either of the above disciplines declared as equivalent to the above Diplomas by the Central Government or the State Government.

c) Must hold a current valid Driving License authorizing him to drive motor cycle, Heavy Goods Vehicle and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle.

Physical Qualification

All candidates must be physically fit and should have the minimum physical standards as follows.

For Male

Height: 165 cm

Chest: 81 cm (normal-Chest expansion: 5 cm)

For Females

Height: 152 cm

ii. Kerala PSC AMVI Application Process

The candidates shall apply online by registering through the ‘One Time Registration’ system on the official website of the Kerala Public Service Commission. Candidates who have already registered can apply online by logging on to their PSC Thulasi Profile using the user ID and password. After logging on to the profile, click on to the notification page where all the posts are displayed for applying. Then, click on ‘apply now’ button corresponding to the post you want to apply. After completing the application process, the candidates are advised to check the portal and confirm their candidature.

iii. Kerala PSC AMVI Exam Date and Admit Card

The admit cards for the various exams will be released on the PSC Thulasi profile on 12^th May 2023. The detailed information on the important dates for the examination is given below.

ii. Kerala PSC AMVI 2023 Cut Off

The cut off for the upcoming exams is purely based on certain factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the exams as well as the anticipated vacancies for the post. However, analysing the previous year exam rank lists, the minimum qualifying marks was designated at 43.67 and the maximum marks obtained was 75.33 for the exams conducted in the year 2015. The latest exam for AMVI was conducted in the year 2017, much before the implementation of statement type questions in Kerala PSC.

a) How To Prepare Kerala PSC AMVI

The AMVI exams are conducted as autonomous exams in this category since the core subjects involved are related to engineering field. And the necessary qualification also mandates the candidates to have engineering background form Universities recognised by the state. A total of 80% weightage is given to the engineering topics, so it is better to cover those portions to achieve higher ranks. And only 20% weightage is given for department specific topics.

b) PSC AMVI Previous Year Question Papers

The previous year question papers available in the official websites are dating back to 2015 only. And the last exam being conducted on 2017 is more like a huge gap.
