The Kerala Administrative Services Exams are around the corner and what are you waiting for? Kickstart your preparations now as the notifications will be out by the first week of November. Since this would be the second edition of the exams that were held in the 2019-2020 session, you can expect the most minor revisions as the Kerala Public Commission itself is in the process of gripping over this new addendum to the state services. So, candidates can expect less complexity in the level and conduct of the examinations.

2. Kerala Administrative Service Exam pattern
Kerala Administrative Services Exam consists of three-tier recruitment which includes a preliminary stage, a mains level stage, and a personal interview.

The marks obtained by the candidate in the preliminary stage exam will not be considered for ranking and hence aspirants shall strive to obtain at least the cut-off marks for the preliminary stage. As the first phase of selection is just a probability list, and number of candidates who are permitted for the main exam will be decided upon the available vacancies. The questions for the exam will be provided in both English and Malayalam.
The exams conducted in the preliminary level will be majorly Multiple-Choice type and candidates who excel in this exam shall produce relevant documents for verification at prescribed venues by the Commission. The mains level will be mainly of descriptive type examination containing three papers of 100 marks each and 2 hours duration. The final interview stage will be evaluated out of a fixed 50 marks. Marks obtained for the main level and the last interview will be considered for ranking and hierarchy.
Every person admitted to the post of Kerala Administrative Service Officer shall be on probation for a period of two years upon absorption and a pre-training for a period of 18 months has to be undergone by each appointee.
