Kerala PSC has published the notification for HSST History on 15th of November 2023 with category number 475/2023. The last day for applying is on 20th December, 2023. Candidates who are eligible for the posts should apply for the exam before midnight of 20-12-2023, Wednesday. Kerala PSC HSST History 2023 Exam Date

Exam date for HSST History is expected to fall in the mid of 2024. The month of exam can be known soon as PSC is about to publish its Exam Calendar 2024 on 1st January, 2024. Candidates will be informed about the exam date along with the exam confirmation message. And the centre for exam will be be mentioned on the Admission Ticket. Candidates may download the Admission Ticket from their profile in PSC’s official site.

KPSC HSST History 2023 Qualification and Exemptions

A Master’s Degree with no less than 50% marks along with B.Ed. in concerned subject is a must. Also, the candidates must have passed the State Eligibility Test conducted by Government of Kerala.

The following candidates are exempted from having State Eligibility Test (SET).

  • Candidates who passed State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) for College Lecturers post conducted by Government of Kerala.
  • Candidates who have passed National Eligibility Test/Junior Research Fellowship.
  • Persons with Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed. degree. In the case of candidates with M.Phil (M.Phil. should be taken from a University or a University recognised as equivalent in Kerala)
  • The teachers who have completed ten years of approved teaching service at the High School level in the General Education subordinate services.

For candidates from SC/ST and Differently Abled category are allowed an exemption in Master’s Degree pass percentage. Candidates with 45% or above marks from these categories can apply for the post.

KPSC HSST History 2023 Age Limit and Relaxations

General candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2023 (both dates included) are only eligible to apply for the post as per the notification category number 475/2023 of Kerala Public Service Commission. Age limits and relaxation for different categories are mentioned in the table below.

Kerala PSC HSST History 2023 Syllabus

As in other HSST Subject Exams the syllabus of HSST History also includes four parts. Part 1 will constitute 70% and Part 2, 3 & 4 together constitutes 30% of the total marks. The exam will be conducted for a total of 100 marks with a time duration of 1:30 hours. Detailed Syllabus with mark distribution patterns will be updated as per the notification from PSC’s official website keralapsc.gov.in.
