Kerala PSC Ayurveda Medical Officer Exam 2023: Notification

Kerala PSC latest notification 2023 has been released for Assistant professors in Samhitha, Sanskrit and Sidhanta. The notification was gazetted on 29th April 2023 and the last date to apply for the exam is 31st May 2023. This post comes under the Ayurveda Medical Education department and the scale of pay is as applicable as per the UGC norms.

PSC Assistant Professor (Ayurveda medical officer) is considered to be one of the satisfactory job roles for candidates who have a post-graduation degree in the concerned subject and the requisite medical council certificate. Kerala PSC Ayurveda Medical Officer (Assistant Professor) Exam 2023 Eligibility

The Kerala PSC Ayurveda Medical Officer exam can be attempted for candidates with a Post graduate degree in Ayurveda probably a MS or MD in the concerned subject is a necessary qualification along with a permanent ‘A’ class registration with Travancore- Cochin Medical Council (Council of Indigenous medicine). The candidates attaining the above qualification must be already conferred for the role of doctors in conventional medicines. And this post as a graduate degree in BAMs or Bachelor of Ayurvedic medicine and Surgery is a requisite eligibility to apply for masters in the concerned field. This exam is also disguised as the PSC Ayurveda Doctor exam for all those who are unaware of the fact that graduate degree in Ayurveda is synchronous to the Bachelor in Ayurvedic Medicine.

The PSC Ayurveda Medical Officer exam can be attempted by candidates in the age group from 20 years up till 46 years. And the age limit can be pushed higher for candidates from other backward communities and SC/ST category.

How to Apply for Kerala PSC Ayurveda Medical Officer Exam 2023

Ayurveda Medical Officer Application form is accessible through the PSC Thulasi Profile. The Profile can be created through ‘One Time Registration’ through the official portal of Kerala PSC viz., www.keralapsc.gov.in. After registering for the post, the candidates will be provided with a user ID and password. Using these credentials, the candidates can log on their respective profiles. The profile interface will open up with a profile image on the top right corner with a widget of options related to notification, admission ticket, profile messages etc. Choose the notification tab and scroll down to find the various posts published by the Kerala Public Service Commission. Now, click ‘Apply Now’ tab to proceed with the post you indent to apply. The post details are also mentioned along with the desirable eligibility conditions too. After applying check your ‘Applied Applications’ window to confirm your application status. The photograph that is been uploaded in the profile must have your name and date of photograph clearly indicated as per the website.

Application submission window is opened till 31st May 2023 and the method of appointment will be direct recruitment. The candidates shall download the Admit cards from the PSC Thulasi Profile as and on the date prescribed in the PSC calendar. The PSC facilitates a provision for intimating the candidates through electronically generated SMS and emails. However, the applicants are always advised to regularly check their profiles and official websites without waiting for official intimation.

PSC Ayurveda Medical Officer Exam 2023: Syllabus

Ayurveda is an ancient Vedic science explained through various Samhithas. The language of Ayurveda is Sanskrit and classical texts like Ashtanga Hridayam stands as an excellent source to build in the introductory and basic principles of Ayurveda. The science of Ayurveda believes that the universe is a conglomeration of five basic elements known as the ‘panchabuthas’ symbolising Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Space. Like wise human body also constitutes the afore mentioned ‘panchabhuthas’ and the undulating levels of these elements give rise to various bodily conditions.
