Kerala PSC has latterly released the notification for Non-vocational Teacher Commerce (Senior).The applications can be submitted online like any other PSC exams and the exam will be conducted offline as usual. Qualification
The non-vocational teacher qualification is clearly given in the official website of Kerala PSC. The candidate should have completed his/her Masters in Commerce with not less than 50% marks from any Universities in Kerala or the qualification equivalent to it granted by any other university accepted by the Universities in Kerala. You should also note that a relaxation of 5% marks in the post-graduation will be given particularly for SC/ST and differently abled candidates.
Candidates with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala are eligible to apply. The candidates must have passed the State Eligibility Test in the concerned subject for non-vocational teacher post. There are certain exceptions which are clearly mentioned in PSC official website. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. In the case of difference in original caste/ community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard, along with Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/ Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification.
Those persons who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test for the post of College Lecturers conducted by Government of Kerala are exempted from the State Eligibility Test for Non-Vocational Teacher.
