Dr. M R Baiju appointed as Kerala PSC new chairman

Dr. M R Baiju is appointed as the new chairman of Kerala Public Service Commission. It was Mr. M K Sakeer who was in the previous chairman position. Mr. Baiju was an active member in the commission from January 9, 2017. He was posted to this position by the cabinet when his membership was almost at the verge of expiry. Followed by this, The Governor accepted the recommendation of the cabinet and he took his oath as the new PSC chairman. Mr. Baiju is a native of Trivandrum and it was on 1988, he did his B. Tech in Electronics and Communication. He completed his M. Tech from Indian Institute of Science. He didn’t discontinue his studies. Doctorate was his next target and he pursued his PhD in Power Electronics (in 2004). The beginning of his career was in NTPC New Delhi, as a Communication Engineer. In 1991, he worked as a Lecturer as well as a Research Dean in Technical Education Department. He was the Research guide of many of the students, and five of his students attained Doctorate degree under his guidance. He became a member in Kerala PSC when he was working as a Professor in Trivandrum Engineering College. It was under his leadership; online PSC exams got a widespread attention. He wrote and published in many of the famous international journals and publications. He was also honored with lot of awards and achievements like Bimal Bose Award.
