KVS & NVS Tier-1 Exam Pattern 2026

The KVS & NVS exam is conducted in OMR mode with objective questions and a 2-hour duration. It includes 100 questions for 300 marks, using a +3 for correct and –1 for wrong marking scheme. Sections aren’t time-bound and the exam is available in English and one Modern Indian Language.

KVS & NVS Tier-2 Exam Pattern 2026

The KVS & NVS Tier-2 Subject Knowledge Test is held in pen-and-paper OMR mode and lasts for 2.5 hours. It has 70 questions for 100 marks, with +1 for correct answers and –0.25 for wrong answers. The exam is in Hindi and English, except for PGT MIL and TGT 3rd Language posts, which use their own language.

How to Apply for KVS NVS Recruitment 2026 

To apply for KVS NVS Recruitment 2026, candidates must complete the KVS NVS Apply Online 2026 process through the official websites of CBSE, KVS and NVS.

Step 1: Visit the official websites – cbse.gov.in, kvsangathan.nic.in and navodaya.gov.in.

Step 2: Apply only through these links. Only Indian citizens can apply and each candidate must submit only one KVS NVS 2026 application form.

Step 3: Select the post you want from the drop-down list in the KVS NVS Notification 2026.

Step 4: Register on the portal, create your login ID and password, and keep them safe.

Step 5: Fill the KVS NVS 2026 application form, upload your photo and signature correctly and submit it. You cannot edit the form after submission.

Step 6: Pay the KVS NVS 2026 application fee online. The fee is not refundable.

Step 7: After completing the form, take a printout of the confirmation page. You will need it during document verification along with all required certificates.
