Introduction
Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test also known as KTET is a qualification Examination conducted by Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan for aspiring teachers to verify the excellence of their quality. It was introduced by the Kerala State when the RTE Act (2009) instructed the states to confirm the qualification of the teachers for ensuring appropriate standard of education for the evolving students. So to be a teacher, consider this Examination as the golden ticket to boost up your career. There are 4 Categories in KTET. Category 1 is made for teachers of lower primary, Category 2 for teachers of upper primary, Category 3 is for teachers of High School, and Category 4 is for Specialist teachers. The KTET October notification 2023 has been released on 31st October 2023 which was something we all were eagerly waiting for. This notification specifically mentioned the KTET Exam Date for every Category from 1 to 4, Scheduled for December. KTET Exam 2023 will be held on 29/12/2023 and 30/12/2023 for Category 1 & 2 and Category 3 & 4 respectively. KTET Category 1 Syllabus Overview
KTET Category 1 syllabus is specifically designed for the certification of teachers teaching from classes 1 to 4. All the subjects and topics included in this category will sharpen a teacher’s skills to handle the students of the lower primary. It is specially designed to enhance the understanding of the teaching concept and to get along with children easily by understanding their nature. Obviously children are different from adults in many ways, so to be with them in your working hours requires the appreciation of their distinctiveness as well as having good knowledge in the teaching subject. Note that for language 1, you can choose any one from Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada. For language 2, you may choose any one from English and Arabic.
