The KTET category-1 will be held on 12^th May 2023 in the morning shift. The admit cards can be downloaded from the official website using the candidate’s application number and application ID. KTET Category-1 exams are being conducted for teachers who wish to serve in the Lower Primary Schools. The required qualification to apply for KTET category-1 are as follows.

45% in Higher Secondary/ Senior Higher Secondary Qualification and a pass in TTC/ D.Ed./D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education)

45% in Higher Secondary/ Senior Higher Secondary Qualification and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education approved by NCTE (2002)

50% in Higher Secondary/ Senior Higher Secondary Qualification and 4-year B.El.Ed. Ed (Bachelor of Elementary Education)

50% in Higher Secondary/ Senior Higher Secondary Qualification and 2-year D.Ed. (Special Education)

2. KTET Category 1 Syllabus 2023 Overview

The KTET category-1 consists of three main parts viz., part-I comprises of Child Development & Pedagogy, Mathematics and Environmental Studies, part-II consists of first language and finally part-III will cover the second language opted. The main topics and their corresponding mark allocation is discussed in the next session.
