The Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET) is a qualification grade exam for determining the quality of education and teaching in Higher Secondary School Teachers and Non-Vocational School Teachers. The exam is constituted by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram according to the syllabus as validated by the State Board of Examinations. The LBS SET Exam 2023 notification was released on 29^th March 2023. However, the Kerala SET Exam date 2023 will be announced later after the closure of the application submission portal.

Kerala SET Paper 1 Syllabus 2023: General Knowledge

Paper-I is common for all candidates from various disciplines and covers topics like General Knowledge and Aptitude in Teaching. There shall be 120 questions in total where 60 questions come from General Knowledge part and the rest 60 questions is involved from the Aptitude in Teaching portion.

Kerala SET Paper 1 Syllabus 2023: Aptitude in Teaching

The aptitude in teaching topics covers a broad section from the early Philosophical, Psychological, Sociological aspects of education to the pre-modern revelations of communication & Technology in teaching.

Unit-IV – Foundations of Education
Module-1- Philosophical Foundations	Educational Philosophy- Relationship between Philosophy and Education-Major Philosophical divisions and its impact on aims, curriculum, and methods of teaching-concept of teacher, freedom and Discipline Major Philosophical systems in the East Major Philosophical systems in the West-Idealism, Naturalism, Pragmatism, Humanism and Realism, Democracy and Critical Pedagogy. Eminent thinkers in Education-Gandhiji, Tagore, Vivekananda, Plato, Rousseau, Montessori, Frobel, John Dewey, Paulo Freire Value Education -classification of values, significance of value education.

3. LBS SET Exam Date 2023

The Kerala SET 2023 exam dates will be announced sooner or later. The candidates should also be vigilant as the intimation is also circulated through various electronic media and news propagating platforms.

4. LBS SET Exam Admit Card 2023

The candidates who have successfully registered for the exam can download their admit cards as through the official website of LBS Centre for Science and Technology. The date for admit card release is not yet confirmed as the application submission process is still in its initial phase.
