Kerala PSC Women Police Constable Exam: Age limit and Salary

Kerala Public Service Commission has invited applications via online from all the women candidates who are eligible to apply for the post of Woman Police Constable. The major peculiarity of this exam is the age limit, the salary scale etc. Those who have completed the PSC one time registration can only write the exam. The differently abled candidates and male candidates are not eligible to apply for the post since it is only for women candidates.
The medium of instruction will be Malayalam and the exam will not be descriptive but objective. The mode of recruitment will be direct. The Women Police Constable notification was officially released in the official website on 30/12/2022.

Is the age limit like all the other PSC exams?
No, for this particular post, the maximum age limit according to Kerala PSC is 26 and the minimum age is 18. Here, the candidates who are born between 02.01.1996 and 01.01.2004 (Both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Though, there are certain exceptions for the backward communities (29 years) and SC/ST categories (31 years).
What are the necessary Physical Qualifications?
The candidate with a minimum height of 157 cm (General candidates), with proper vision, physical efficiency and skill in sports activities will only be considered for the same. In the Eye test, full field of vision is necessary for both the eyes. The applicant should not be suffering with certain serious eye conditions, colour blindness, squint or any other morbid issues. The applicant must be free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, Varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding tooth, defective speech and hearing.
