Kerala PSC Scientific Assistant Notification released on 2021 for Junior Scientific Assistant in Kerala State Pollution Control Board is scheduled for 1^st April 2023. The notification was released in November, 2021. And the last date to apply was 22^nd December 2021. The total number of vacancies for this post is only 30. However, there can be some surge in the vacancies as the recruitment exam happens after a gap of more than one year. The latest Scientific Assistant notification for Biochemistry was released in 2022 and the application submission ended in March 2022.

3. PSC Scientific Assistant Application

The Kerala PSC Scientific Assistant application can be submitted via the PSC Thulasi profile. In order to access the PSC Thulasi Profile candidates should first register through the “One Time Registration” in the official website of Kerala Public Service Commission, www.keralapsc.gov.in. The registered candidates can use their username and password created while registering to login into the PSC Thulasi Profile. After that a page opens up with all icons and your profile picture on the top right corner. Then, click on to the notifications icon and a page full current notifications will appear. Now, choose the post who are eligible for and click on to the “Apply Now” button.

4. Kerala PSC Scientific Assistant Qualification

Qualification for Category No.516/2021

The qualification required for the above post is a second-class Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in any branch of Chemistry/ Environmental Science/ Microbiology from UGC recognised University or qualification equivalent to that.

Qualification for Category No.003/2022

The minimum required qualification is a first class in M.Sc. Biochemistry. However, in the absence of candidates with the above mentioned qualification, candidates with Masters in Chemistry (First Class) with Biochemistry as an allied subject will be considered. If the above-mentioned qualifications are also not available then M.Sc. in Pure Chemistry (I or II class)/ Applied Chemistry (I or II class)/ Analytical Chemistry (I or II class) will be recruited.

5. Kerala PSC Scientific Assistant Age Limit

The age limit for both the categories is between 18 years and 36 years. However, there is an age relaxation for other reserved categories that cannot exceed a maximum of 50 years.

The Scientific Assistant exams will commence from the first week of April 2023, and there are just few days left. Candidates who haven’t downloaded their admit cards are requested to log into their accounts and keep all requisite documents ready before the day of the exam. During these final days of the exam, it is always better to do maximum number of mock tests and practice using the previous year question papers or model question papers.
