HSST Computer Science Qualifications

HSST Computer Science Qualification has been released in the official notice. Apart from the age limit, this area is very important as this factor decides whether you are eligible for the post, whether you have the essential knowledge and exposure in the field. Carefully read the Kerala HSST Computer Science Qualification.

Master's Degree in Engineering or Technology in the concerned subject / M. Tech Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Software Engineering with not less than 50% marks from a recognized University

OR

Master's Degree in Computer Application/ Master's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with not less than 50% marks from a recognized University.

If you lack these qualifications, you may possess the below given qualifications.

B.Tech/ Bachelor of Engineering Degree with not less than 50% marks in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology from a recognized University.

OR

B.Tech/ Bachelor of Engineering Degree with not less than 50% marks in any branch of study with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Lal Bahadur Sastri Centre for Science & Technology / Institute of Human Resource Development or Department of Electronics 'A' Level accredited

OR

Masters Degree with not less than 50% marks in Mathematics/ Physics with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University / Lal Bahadur Sastri Centre for Science & Technology / Institute of Human Resource Development or Department of Electronics 'A' Level accredited

OR

M.Tech Degree with not less than 50% marks in Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics Engineering from a recognized University. OR B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science with not less than 50% marks and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Lal Bahadur Sastri Centre for Science & Technology / Institute of Human Resource Development or Department of Electronics 'A' Level accredited

For those who have acquired Non – Qualifying degrees (Ph.D/M.Phil/Post doctoral Fellowship) will be given weightage marks only if those Non – Qualifying degrees shall be any of the subjects concerning the basic qualification specified for the post.

Exemptions

The Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Differentially Abled candidates definitely hold the deserving recognition of the Board. On that basis, some exceptional reservations are given to them for the post HSST Computer Science.

Relaxation of 5% marks in the Post Graduation will be given to SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates as per G.O.(Ms) No.288/15/Gl.Edn ( Dated 13/11/15).

HSST Computer Science syllabus 2023

HSST Kerala Computer Science syllabus has been released by the Board. What you have to bring to notice is that this time the syllabus has gone through a major updation that changed some of the topics that were previously included in the syllabus. So you have to note that the syllabus of 2017 is different from the syllabus released this time. And be careful while referring the syllabus as it may lead you to misinformation about the actual syllabus. Provided below is the new updated PSC HSST Computer Science Syllabus.

HSST Computer Science: How to Apply?

To Apply for the post HSST Computer Science, please follow the steps given below:-

1. You have to register to the official website of Kerala Public Service Commission through by following https://www.keralapsc.gov.in this link.
2. You will see the One Time Registration button. Click on it and provide the details asked. Your registration will be completed and a profile for you will be created with a password you assign. Please remember to note down your password somewhere so that you won’t forget. This password is important if you want to use the profile in future for further applications. You can only register once and have to use the profile whenever needed.
3. If you have registered, you should login using the username and password.
4. Then you should click on the Apply now button for the concerned post.
5. You should upload your photograph taken not before 31/12/2012 with your name and date of photograph taken at the base part. It will be valid for the next 10 years. For new registrations from 01/01/2022 photograph taken within 6 months should be uploaded.
6. There is no application fee.
7. Before final submission, you have to make sure that all the personal details and the Exam details are correct as editing or correcting anything in the profile once submitted is not possible.
8. You should take a printout of the application for future reference. You can take a printout by clicking on the My Applications link.
9. You should also submit the confirmation for writing the exam through your profile. If so, you can get the Admission Ticket in the last 15 days before the Exam. If the confirmation is not submitted, the application will be rejected.
10. Providing fake information about your qualifications in the application shall be punished.
11. Candidates having AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR card as ID proof in your profile.
12. Note that the Last date for receipt of applications is 29/11/2023 (upto 12:00 midnight).
