Kerala PSC has already invited applications from the eligible candidates for the post of Driver cum Office Attendant (Medium/Heavy/Passenger/Goods Vehicle). The age limit of the candidate should not exceed above 39 (18-39), considering the age relaxation to the backward communities.

Who are Eligible?

The candidate should have passed 7th standard, and should be possessing current Motor Driving Licence to drive Light Motor Vehicles and Heavy Motor Vehicles with Driver's Badge. Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving Licence shall be of at least 3 years standing and in the case of Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 separate endorsement to drive Heavy Duty Goods Vehicles and Heavy-Duty Passenger Vehicles. Also, the applicant should be medically fit as per the below given standards:

(i) Ear: - Hearing should be perfect (ii) Eye: - Distant vision: - 6/6 Snellen Near vision: - 0.5 Snellen Colour Vision: - Normal Night blindness: - Nil (iii) Muscles and Joints: - No Paralysis and all joints with free movements (iv) Nervous system: - Perfectly normal, free from any infectious diseases.

With a 7th standard qualification, will you ever get such an attractive salary in any of the private firms? Here, if you enter into the Driver exam rank list, you will be getting a payscale between Rs. 8710 to 17980.

What are the number of expected vacancies?

The Driver vacancy as per the conducting body is 2. Anyhow Kerala Public Service Commission has all the rights to make certain amendments in the given number of vacancies. A maximum period of three years will be provided as an expiry period of the ranked list. The Commission shall have the authority to withdraw the advice letter of any applicant to the above post, if it is subsequently found that such advise was made mistakenly.
