UPSC Exam 2025 Syllabus

UPSC conducts each exam based on a pre-defined syllabus. The syllabus and scope of each exam is available with the detailed notification or prospectus released by UPSC. All candidates can download the official UPSC exam syllabus online. All candidates are advised to go through the topics, sub topics and marking schemes attributed to each papers of the respective exams.

How to Apply for UPSC Exams 2025?

In order to apply for the UPSC exams 2025 candidates need to register online in the official Union Public Service Commission website. Follow the online registration instructions to setup the candidate profile in UPSC.

  1. You must register to appear for any of the UPSC's exams.
  2. OTR account and apply for any future UPSC exams.
  3. An OTR is not an application for an exam. The UPSC One Time Registration account saves the basic details about candidates and their qualifications. This make it easy for the candidate to apply for each exam.
  4. Complete One-time registration (OTR) with valid, active e-mail id and mobile number, further communications regarding the selection will be send to the said number and mail id.
  5. The applicant has to change his One Time Registration (OTR) password;
  6. The One Time Registration (OTR) password should be used by the candidate who intends to apply online for any test advertised by UPSC, and
  7. One-time registration (OTR) facility is free.
  8. Once you have successfully completed the OTR, a message will be sent to your registered email address and mobile number.
  9. Your OTR ID will be sent to your registered email address and mobile number.
  10. More than one OTR ID cannot be used. This may result in rejection or cancellation of an application.
  11. All the corrections, updations and changes of data must be communicated to the email ID upscsoap@nic.in along with attached documents
  12. One can enter the home page of online application by using the given link: https://upsconline.nic.in/
  13. Now, for applying to any one of the examinations conducted by UPSC one needs to click on the New Registration.
