UGC NET
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the UGC-NET examination. The test determines eligibility for various academic pursuits, including Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowships and Ph.D. programs. The examination will be conducted in OMR mode. NTA ensures fair and transparent evaluation for scholars and educators. The NTA aims to prepare the next generation of research scholars and faculty members.
The test, conducted twice a year, is conducted in 83 subjects across selected cities. The eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships and Assistant Professorships depends on the candidate's performance in Paper-I and Paper-II.
UGC Net 2024 Exam Date
UGC NET 2024 exam date is announced by UGC. The UGC NET 2024 June will be conducted on 18 June, 2024. Earlier the date was announced as 16 June. But due to the commencement of Civil Service preliminary examination the date has been changed as per the latest schedule.

UGC Net 2024 Notification
UGC NET 2024 notification was released on 20th April, 2024. All eligible candidates may apply through the official site for UGC NET 2024 June Exam. Candidates can apply before the last date to apply for UGC NET 2024 on 30 May, 2024 (upto 11:50 pm). And the candidates must pay the fee by online means between 11 May 2024 and 12 may 2024 (upto 11:50 pm).
Additionally, a correction window will be provided for candidates who have completed the application process but have corrections in the entered or upload particulars. The correction window will be open between 13 and 15 May, 2024 (upto 11:50 pm). All the procedure regarding the completion of UGC NET application form 2024.
How to Apply for UGC NET 2024?
The online UGC NET application form is available in the official UGC site for NET. In order to initiate UGC NET Apply online, candidates have to follow three mainly three steps

- Pay Examination Fee
Candidates who are applying for the first time should go to the site ugcnet.ntaonline.in and click on New Candidate Register Here link. Read and understand the complete instructions and procedure for online submission of UGC NET Application Form 2024. Candidates who are not satisfying the official instructions will be summarily disqualified
- Apply for Online Registration
To apply for UGC-NET JUNE-2024, candidates must register online, provide personal details, create a password, and answer security questions. A system-generated Application Number will be generated for future reference and logins. This number is used for both sessions and is required for future reference.
- Candidates should use their system-generated Application Number and Password, created by them, to complete the Application Form, enter personal details, Paper of your choice, examination city, educational qualifications, and uploading the particulars (images and documents).
- The password created must include 8 – 13 characters. And at least one character must be of the following specifications.
- Upper case, Lower case, numeric value and special characters.
- Candidates can reset password using:

- Security Questions and its answer chosen at the time of form filling
- Verification code sent to registered mobile number
- Reset link sent to registered email address.

Follow the following instructions to upload scanned images of candidate’s photograph, signature.
- Photograph: Recently taken, Black & white or Colour, 80% of the face including ears should be visible (without mask). Background should be white.
- All scanned images should be in JPG format.
- Size of scanned photograph should be between 10 kb – 200 kb.
- Size of scanned signature should be between 4 kb – 30 kb.
Any correction in the uploaded images won’t be permitted later. Therefore, candidates must ensure that the images are correct and comply with the official instruction.
- Candidates must pay the examination fee only through various online payment methods. This include Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Paytm Services. Processing charges and GST will be charged by the Bank/Payment Gateway in addition to the UGC fee. If the Confirmation Page isn't generated, candidates can contact the Bank/Payment Gateway for assistance or refunds.

UGC NET Exam 2024
UGC NET exam 2024 is being conducted by National Testing Agency. The exam is conducted for 83 subjects. Candidates can choose one subject of their choice, as per their eligibility.
The exam will be conducted in OMR mode only. And the test will contain two papers. Both the papers will consist of MCQs and the exam will be continuous and no break in between the papers. The time allotted for the candidates to complete both the papers is 3 hours (180 minutes).
UGC NET exam paper I is for 100 marks. Here the candidates need to attend 50 questions. UGC NET paper I exam is primarily intended test the teaching / research aptitude and the ability of the candidates to solve the questions from reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness.
Paper II of UGC NET exam is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess the knowledge in his/her domain.
