Kerala PSC has notified the recruitment of officers in the Fire and Rescue Department recently. All those who were eagerly waiting for this recruitment can now apply through the portal via the PSC Thulasi profile. Applications are invited in online mode through ‘One Time Registration’ from eligible candidates.

The notification is called for Fire & Rescue Officer -Driver (trainee) and Fire & Rescue Officer – (trainee). And the number of vacancies for each category is anticipated. Further, the recruitment is being gazetted after a gap of four years and the next recruitment can be expected to be more competent.

Fire and Rescue Officer (Driver) (Trainee)- Category No. 187/2023

The appointment is direct and aspirants between the ages of 18 and 26 are eligible to apply. The minimum required qualification is a pass in plus two and the preferential qualification is a Diploma in Computer Application along with a valid motor driving license with an endorsement for heavy goods vehicle or heavy passenger vehicle with a badge. Apart from the above essential qualification candidates should also possess the prescribed physical standards as mentioned in the notification.

Fire and Rescue Officer (Trainee)- Category No. 188/2023

The age limit pertaining to such uninformed posts is set at a lower limit of 18 years and an upper limit of 26 years. Fire and Rescue Officer trainee is a direct recruitment post with plus two as the minimum qualification and Diploma in Computer Application as the preferential qualification. Apart from that candidates should possess the required physical standards and should have a proficiency in swimming.

Kerala PSC Fireman Age Limit

The Fireman Age limit is from 18 years to 26 years. Candidates should take note of the age criteria as for most uniformed posts the upper age limit is usually set between 25 and 26 years.

Kerala PSC Fireman Salary

The Fireman salary is very promising and starts from Rs 27,900 to Rs 63,700. Further, this salary band is applicable to both Fire and Rescue Drivers as well as Officer posts.

Kerala PSC Fireman Rank list

The last Rank list published this year pertains to category number 139/2019 where the merit-based rank list was based on the OMR test, physical measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, and Swimming Test.

The rank list shall cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization of the ranked list. And the advice of the vacancies is subject to available vacancies and mere inclusion in the list doesn’t assure appointment. Further, the candidates remaining in the rank list who are not issued fireman advice 2023 cannot claim after the validity of the list.
