Kerala High Court Assistant Notification 2024 has been dropped on the official website of Kerala High Court on 27^th March, 2024. It includes mainly of two recruitment categories, 4/2024 and 5/2024. The 4/2024 category is for the special recruitment for differently abled candidates and the latter category is for direct recruitment. Kerala High Court Assistant Last Date to Apply

High Court Assistant apply online begins on 3^rd April, 2024. The last date to complete the registration and online fee payment is on 6^th May, 2024. Only online mode of application through the official site is accepted. Though the last date for online fee payment is same as that of the last date for online application, fee payment is accepted in offline mode also. The last date for paying exam fee offline is 10^th May, 2024. All candidates should complete the registration and payment before last date.

Kerala High Court Assistant Age Limit

The age limit for candidates from different communities has been distinguished in the official Kerala High Court Assistant notification 2024.

Only candidates born between 02/01/1988 and 01/01/2006 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. The dates have changes for canididates form various communities. The above-mentioned dates are only for candidates appearing for open competition. Candidates belonging to SC / ST categories should be born between 02/01/1983 and 01/01/2006. Also, candidates from OBC community should be born between 02/01/1985 and 01/01/2006. In both the cases the dates mentioned are also inclusive. Ex-servicemen, ex-General Reserve Engineer Force persons, or disembodied Territorial Army persons can exclude period of service while applying for HCA. Candidates who had been in General Reserve Engineer Force, or Territorial Army, and up to five years of unemployment on discharge also can. Widows are also eligible to receive age relaxation up to 5 years. Candidates belonging to the category of Blindness, Low Vision, Deaf and hard of hearing categories, and 10 years to other disabilities can avail age relaxation up to 15 years. In all the above-mentioned cases of age relaxation candidates must not exceed the age limit of 50 years.

High Court Assistant Qualification

Kerala High Court Assistant recruitment 2024 is a degree level post. Candidates applying for the examination must have a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Law Degree with at least 50% marks awarded or recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala.

Knowledge in Computer Operations is desirable.

Candidates who have Bachelor's Degree with marks below 50% are not eligible for the post. The minimum marks requirement is exempted for SC/ST candidates. If the marks of qualifying examination are in CGPA/OGPA or letter grade, then the equivalent percentage must be indicated in the application form and a certificate obtained from the university/institute is required. Candidates must have acquired all the required qualifications before the online application closure date. Kerala High Court Assistant Exam Fee

Candidates applying for Kerala High Court Assistant exam 2024 should pay an exam fee of ₹ 500/-. The candidates from Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Unemployed Differently abled candidates with benchmark disabilities are exempted from payment of application fee. Applicants can pay fee through both online and offline modes.

Kerala High Court Assistant Recruitment Process

The selection process of High Court Assistant 2024 includes Objective Test, Descriptive Test and Interview. Understanding the High Court Assistant exam pattern is important.

• Objective Test – The test consists of 100 questions and each correct answer adds 1 mark and each incorrect answer deduct ¼ marks. Candidates have to complete the objective test within 75 minutes.

The test comprises questions from General English for 50 marks, General Knowledge for 40 marks and Basic Mathematics & Reasoning for 10 marks.

Questions from the topics such as Facts about India & Kerala, Constitution of India, General Science & Information Technology and Current Affairs can be expected in General Knowledge part.

• Descriptive Test – The test begins immediately after the objective test. This is a 60 minutes examination checking the language and descriptive proficiency of candidates. The test is for a total of 60 marks.

• Interview – The final stage of the recruitment is the interview session. This session is for 10 marks. Candidates need to score a minimum 35% in interview to be included in the ranked list.

High Court Assistant 2024 candidates should score a minimum of 40% marks in objective test to be included in the short list for interviews. Only the answer sheets of eligible candidates will be evaluated for the descriptive test. Descriptive test possesses no cut-off mark. If the number of qualified candidates is high, the High Court of Kerala will decide the short list based on criteria such as vacancy notifications, previous list appointments, and occurrence chances. The marks obtained in objective test, descriptive test and interview will be added for the final rank list.
