Cut-Off Marks

Candidates appearing for category 3 exam must score marks equal to or above the cut-off marks. Cut off marks for candidates from SC/ST categories is 82 and for candidates from unreserved category is 90 marks out of 150.

Exam Pattern

The KTET category 3 Social Science exam is can be divided into three parts.

Part 1: ADOLESCENT PSYCHOLOGY, THEORIES OF LEARNING & TEACHING APTITUDE

Part 2: LANGUAGE I - MALAYALAM/ENGLISH/TAMIL/KANNADA

Part 3: SOCIAL SCIENCE (HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY, ECONOMICS, POLITICAL SCIENCE, PEDAGOGY)

150 questions will be asked on a total from all the three parts. Students will be awarded 1 mark for each right response. The question paper will contain 40 questions from part 1, 30 questions from part 2 and 80 questions from part 3. The total duration of the exam is 2 ½ hours.
