Those candidates who fulfil the below mentioned eligibility criteria are only allowed to apply for the examination.

HSST Hindi Age Limit

Only candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) shall apply for the HSST Hindi. A relaxation in upper age limit of 5 years shall be granted to SC/ST candidates and 3 years to OBC candidates.

HSST Hindi Educational Qualifications

Candidates applying for HSST Hindi must satisfy the following conditions.

1. Master’s degree in Hindi with marks not less than 50%. The degree must be acquired from any universities or recognized by such universities in Kerala.

1. B.Ed. degree awarded at the successful completion of regular course in Hindi, from any of the universities or courses recognized as equivalent by the universities in Kerala.
2. In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in Hindi, B.Ed. Degree in concerned faculty will eb accepted
3. In the absence of candidates with both qualifications as above-mentioned, then candidates with a B.Ed. in any subject will be accepted.

3. The candidates must have passed LBS SET.

Note: Candidates who have passed Language Teachers Training Diploma in Hindi Teaching Course are exempted from acquiring B.Ed. qualification.

And candidates with various qualifying degrees will get the usual weightage marks.

HSST Hindi Exemptions

Candidates who have acquired any of the following is exempted from SET qualification.

SLET, NET / JRF, Ph.D., M.Phil., High School Teachers with approved service of 10 years’ experience in General Education.

Also, 5%-mark relaxation in PG for SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates.
